Privacy policy

This policy describes how Zen Network handles personal information. It is written to reflect what this site actually does, which is very little: the site collects nothing about you as you browse, sets no cookies, and runs no tracking.

Effective date: 21 September 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information

Zen Network is published by KLARA Office s.r.o., which is the controller of any personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at any time.

This policy is written with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in mind, because we publish for readers in Australia.

2. What we actually collect

We want to be precise here rather than pad this section out. There are exactly three things:

  • Nothing through the site itself. Zen Network has no forms, no newsletter, no account and no chat tool. We set no cookies and use no analytics, so we do not collect any information about your browsing, and we do not build any profile of you.
  • Ordinary server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs when any website is served. These typically include your IP address, the type of browser or device you use (the "user agent"), the address you requested, and the date and time. This is a normal part of operating a website and applies to essentially every site on the internet.
  • Whatever you put in an email to us. If you email info@zennetwork.online, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include in it.

That is the complete list. We do not collect anything else, and we do not ask you to provide anything to read this site.

3. Why we hold each of these, and on what basis

  • Server logs exist for security and diagnostics — keeping the site available, investigating errors, and identifying abuse or attacks. The basis for this is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.
  • Emails you send us are held so that we can read and reply to your message and deal with whatever it concerns, such as a correction or a privacy request. The basis is our legitimate interest in corresponding with people who contact us.

There is no consent-based collection here, because we set no cookies and run no tracking that would require consent.

4. How long we keep it

  • Server logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security and diagnostics, generally not longer than 12 months, after which they are deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course.
  • Emails: kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and in any case no longer than 24 months from our last correspondence with you, unless we are required to keep them longer to meet a legal obligation.

5. Who your information may be disclosed to

We keep this list to the parties we actually deal with:

  • Our hosting provider, which stores the site and generates the server logs described above as part of delivering the website.
  • Our email provider, which we use to receive and send correspondence with you.

We do not use Google Fonts or any other externally hosted resource, so no font provider or content-delivery network receives your information through this site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for advertising.

Cross-border disclosure (APP 8)

Because our publisher and some of our service providers are located outside Australia — including in the Czech Republic and potentially elsewhere in the European Union — handling your information involves disclosure to recipients outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure any such recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted. Access to the email correspondence and to any hosting controls is limited to the publisher and protected by strong, unique credentials and, where available, multi-factor authentication. Because we deliberately collect so little, there is very little for anyone to misuse in the first place.

7. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles

You have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. In practice this will usually only be any email you have sent us, since that is the only personal information we would ordinarily hold about an identifiable individual.

To exercise these rights, email info@zennetwork.online. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, which is the Australian privacy regulator.

8. Data breaches

If a data breach occurred that was likely to result in serious harm to anyone whose information we hold, we would act in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, which can require us to notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and it collects nothing from anyone, children included. We do not knowingly hold personal information about children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and publish the revised version on this page. If we ever introduced anything that collected personal information in a new way — which we have no plans to do — we would update this policy, and the cookie policy, before that change went live.

11. If you are in the EU or the UK

Because our publisher is established in the European Union, some readers' information may be handled in a way that engages the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and equivalent UK rules. Where that applies, the legal basis we rely on is our legitimate interests — specifically, keeping security and diagnostic server logs and corresponding with people who email us. There is no consent basis here, because the site sets no cookies and runs no tracking.

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have rights to access your personal data, and to seek its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these, email info@zennetwork.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.
