Cookie policy
The short version: Zen Network does not use cookies. This page explains what that means, and why you will not see a consent banner on this site.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website can ask your browser to store, so that information can be remembered between pages or visits. Cookies are commonly used for things like keeping you signed in, remembering settings, or — most often — tracking behaviour for analytics and advertising.
This site sets no cookies
Zen Network sets no cookies of its own, and it allows no third party to set cookies through it. To be specific, this site uses:
- no analytics of any kind;
- no advertising or marketing cookies, and no conversion or tracking pixels;
- no social media embeds or share buttons that would set cookies;
- no session identifiers or "remember me" cookies;
- no third-party scripts, tags or embedded content that could set a cookie.
Because nothing on this site sets or reads a cookie, there is nothing for you to consent to — and so there is no cookie consent banner. A banner asking you to accept cookies on a site that sets none would itself be misleading, and we will not display one.
What happens instead
Serving a website still involves a small amount of ordinary technical information, and we would rather explain it than hide it. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — typically your IP address, your browser or device type, the address you requested, and the date and time. This is a normal part of delivering any website, it is not a cookie, and it does not track you across other sites. We describe it in full in our privacy policy.
This site also loads no fonts, scripts, images or other resources from external services. In particular, we do not use Google Fonts, so no font request is made to Google or any other third party as you browse.
No local storage or fingerprinting
Alongside not using cookies, this site uses no localStorage, no sessionStorage and no other browser storage, and it does not attempt any form of browser fingerprinting. The small amount of JavaScript on the site handles only interface behaviour — such as the menu on small screens and the expandable questions — and stores nothing about you.
Managing cookies in your browser anyway
Even though this site sets none, you can control cookies from other sites through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, block them, and clear them, usually under a "Privacy" or "Security" section of its settings. Your browser's own help pages explain the exact steps for your version. Blocking cookies will have no effect on how Zen Network works, since it does not rely on any.
If this ever changes
We have no plans to add cookies or tracking. If that ever changed, we would update this page to describe exactly what is used and why, and we would put a working consent mechanism in place before any such cookie was set — not afterwards.
